The Route
Route Description
The Wine Walk Salgesch starts directly at Salgesch train station and leads along a route approximately 8 kilometers long through the idyllic vineyards surrounding the wine-making village.
After the start, the route climbs steadily towards Oberwallis through the wine-growing landscape to Mengis Suone, where the altitude difference is overcome.
The route then follows the flat Suone path above Salgesch with impressive views of the Rhone Valley. A gentle descent leads the walk back to the village center and ends at the museum square, where the event comes to a convivial conclusion.
